Rock Hall Rendezvous 99 a Record!

The largest IP Rendezvous in the world was held in Rock Hall, MD on Sept. 3, 4, 5, & 6, 1999, with 92 yachts registered and 300 owners in attendance!  Hurricane Dennis provided plenty of wind (30 knts) and plenty of rain (3"+) but this did not take away from the enjoyment and experiences of sharing IP sailing stories with everyone.  Starting with the Friday night welcome pizza party, we served 50 pies!  Saturday included registration, seminars, children's games, coast guard auxillary marine exams and flare demonstrations, wine & cheese party, buffet dinner, DJ, and speaker Tom Neale of Cruising World magazine.  Sunday started with the Blessing of the Fleet, racing in 30 knts (15 yachts), yacht visitation, buffet dinner, awards and concluded with 100+ door prizes! Wrapping up the event on Monday morning was a fleet meeting focused on rendezvous evaluation and planning for 2000.   This is the rendezvous of all rendezvous!
